A pint of Potton IPA sampled here in excellent condition - pub always worth a look as they do sometimes have interesting guests in addition to the Shep Neames.

The Lazy Toad, Shoreham by Sea
Quirky little pub with a good selection of ale straight from the barrel. The Itchen Valley Winchester Ale was excellent.

The Buckingham Arms, Shoreham by Sea
Am always disappointed by this pub, although a large number of pumps on view I always seem to pick a very mediocre beer, again on Saturday the Harveys Mild was poor, drinkable, but only just, the Taylor landlord slightly better. My mate's Itchen Valley Pure Gold was also Hazy and tired. Better quality beer available in other shoreham pubs.

The Duke Of Wellington, Shoreham by Sea
Great little pub, very good selection of beers, now with more guest ales than previously. Had the Triple fff Alton Pride in fine form. Do agree with previous posts that if you are in there for music can be too loud, or maybe I am just getting old!
16 May 2011 16:21
Like the pub, the beer selection changes regularly and you never know what's going to appear. Ilkley Black on last visit - excellent
16 May 2011 16:16
Friendly welcome, the GK Hardys & Hansons bitter was well kept and at 3 a pint, decent value for an area where 3.50 is common
16 May 2011 16:14
Pub ok but prices!!! 3.65 for a pint of Franklyns Bitter - will not bother again
16 May 2011 16:12

Called in on Saturday afternoon at opening time, friendly staff and pub pleasantly decorated, including a lesser spotted Bar Billiards table!
Choice of two ales Skinners Betty Stogs & Adnams Bitter, chose the latter which was excellent. At 2.80 very competitive considering the high Brighton prices
17 May 2010 10:45

17 May 2010 10:43
