Another traditional pub in a commercial area of Brighton. This place is a Harvey's pub and is listed in the current 2018 Good Beer Guide. Ales were Dark Mild, Old Ale, Christmas Ale, Bonfire Boy & Sussex Best Bitter - plenty for those who like their beers dark (and strong). Old Rosie cider was also available. The barmaid was very friendly. Nice place. blue_scrumpy - 1 Feb 2018 19:30 |
A pint of dark mild at £2.85 a bargain. Mind you I seemed to be the youngest one in there by a good few years and I'm in my sixties. addlened - 29 Sep 2016 12:08 |
Excellent old school boozer, with carpets and curtains. So few like this left in Brighton. Very well kept beer, very friendly bar staff. Good place to chill out alone or have a conversation in a group ... alebarry - 10 Sep 2016 19:15 |
Best. Pub. Ever. Superb pint of Best, also had Old and Christmas Ale on tap. Very traditional looking pub just off London Road. Staff very friendly. Leatherette benches - haven't seen that for years. Go there. Harveybest - 11 Jan 2015 21:05 |
You can always get a good pint of Harvey's beer here, five pump working most of the time, all well kept. All barstaff and customers very friendly and talkative. Perhaps "Brainfluff" should remember how she behaved to cause the problem. RobinDay - 16 Jun 2013 12:53 |
