Friendly welcome, the GK Hardys & Hansons bitter was well kept and at �3 a pint, decent value for an area where �3.50 is common

Although they do the "dull" Greene King beers, they do seem to try with guest ales. Aong with Abbot & Olde Trip, I was lucky they had just put Hophead back on. I really like the atmosphere of this pub and have eaten here a few times too. On the occasions the food has been excellent and good value.

Basic back-street local with a welcoming landlord and dull beer from Greeen King. My mate says the food is very good.

Has reopened with new owners- nice and cosy inside with an open fire. Beers- three on tap I think, two them decent guest ales. Small, pretty basic, but fine.
