It's now closed and going to turn into flats, so I've heard. regg3y - 5 Dec 2011 17:00 |
Excellent establishment! High praise indeed for a goodly recommended bar by my old mate Alan. The Best in Brighton! anonymous - 14 Aug 2010 09:45 |
Took young William's very good advice and walked up the hill for a visit. Great food and well served beer. Certainly worth heading to in Brighton. WaterlooWillie - 12 Aug 2010 17:42 |
For those like myself who are rare visitors to Brighton, may I heartily suggest aiming for the Bib & Tucker. It's truely wonderful! Not actually on the seafront or town centre, (lets face it, most pubs there are dirty, dark and smelly) the Bib& Tucker isn't. Only a short bus ride for 1.50 on a number 22 to Hanover and on the right handside. Formally, Ye Race Horse pub, being close to Brighton race track,it's a tastefully modernized 1890's, large Sussex tiled beer palace. Very light and sunny. Very clean, with spotless toilets. The food is fantastic; prepared by Richard from Dundee. And the front of house, superbly run by Curlly. Wonderful beers, and great and friendly customers. Plus a very attractive and sunny garden, with a great vegatable selection being grown by the management for added freshness and quality to customers meals. I highly commend you pay a visit; the views across the hills are breath taking. Enjoy! WILLIAMSTEW - 28 Jul 2010 22:21 |
Called in on Saturday afternoon at opening time, friendly staff and pub pleasantly decorated, including a lesser spotted Bar Billiards table! Choice of two ales Skinners Betty Stogs & Adnams Bitter, chose the latter which was excellent. At 2.80 very competitive considering the high Brighton prices boroboy23 - 17 May 2010 10:45 |
