The Exchequer, Crookham Village
More restaurant than pub. Nice makeover. The TEA was good on my last visit

Nice decor, beer in good nick, food is nice but the pub is lacking soul

The new management have definitely improved this pub and it is much better than its rating of 3.5 . Much busier. Food alright, beer decent and a decent locals pub

The Prince of Wales, Farnborough
Great to see that a pub where it all about the beer can still be a viable business these days.

The Exchequer, Crookham Village
Closed for extensive makeover from April to August 2nd. Now reopened with 3 real ales on offer( 49er, pedigree and cumberland ale) and nice locals bar. Restaurant also busy so well worth a visit.

Absolutely brilliant food led pub. Cant fault it, good food, beer, staff, decor and the prices are reasonable. Wish it was 10 miles closer

Nice mix of customers, family running it put in alot of effort. Food is good but some glaring weak points.
Got the bill for 2 people and was charged an un advertised 12.5% service charge even for the drinks we had at the bar. 85 for 2 good pub meals is too much

Really nice pub. Large car park. Was given a friendly greeting, open log fires, good staff and the whole place was clean and welcoming. 3 REAL ALES on, london pride, an adnams bitter and ramsbury gold. Had the ramsbury which was in good form with an excellent thai green curry . Bill was reasonable. The toilets were also very modern and clean and on this visit there was very little to fault

Football team dropped in for our pre-xmas drink at 9.30 on 21st Dec and in spite of there being only 12 other people in the pub we managed to witness 3 brawls! Shame but needs a sort out again. Young bar man was pleasant

Very good pub that seems to have got complacent of late. Food was always average but other areas including the ale have been inconsistent on recent visits. Hope they re-focus because this has been a landmark pub for quite a while.

The Bear and Ragged Staff, Wrecclesham
Neglected and now quite sad pub but plans have been passed for a refurb. Details available at Waverley council website....WA/2010/1271. Looks like a more food led pub is intended but not sure the parking is sufficent for that. Watching brief.

Attractive exterior and impressive spacious interior. Hall & woodhouse owned. The pub was quite busy and the ale and drinks were fine......Unfortunately,in spite of the woodburner, the pub was absolutely freezing. Most people still had their coats on inside. Food is of the freezer variety but prices are ok which must be the reason why so many people are here to experience this below average pub.

I really hope this pub re-opens as it has alot of character and with the right ownership and some investment could be a really nice village pub

Typical large Greene King pub. Sky sports, freezer food and average beer. Staff were friendly and prices not bad so overall it is an ok pub

Nice pint of Altons Pride last night. Roaring fire on a chilly night, Quiet on the food front .

A good Wetherspoons pub. Sell alot of ales and I've always found them in good nick. All in all not bad

Still an M&B pub but not under the Ember Inn brand;now a fine country dining pub. Still settling down and the jury is still out on whether it will succeed in Fleet.

Going downhill slowly but surely. The gents toilets absolutely stink, have told bar people on 3 occasions but nothing has been done. Wouldn't chance eating here until the hygiene improves

Not dead, just in a coma. Punch tavern are still paying rent to the property company landlords so there is still hope. People who would like to see it re-open need to put pressure on the council to act.

Nice olde worlde thatched pub next to A303. Food was fine and ale was in good nick and the pub felt cosy with a roaring open fire. With a bit more energy this could be a special place !

Three Shires Inn, Little Langdale
Great place to stopover with nice comfortable rooms. Food is good and the bar does lack a bit of character but is just fine after a long walk on a chilly evening. 3 ales on... Cumberland, wainrights and a coniston ale.

Nice olde worlde pub in a prime position serving good beer and reasonable food. However, the rooms are at best average and overpriced and would choose the 3 Shires Inn nearby at Little Langdale to stopover.

Do like this pub but not quite on the money at present. Ale not always in good nick and prices have increased alot in last 6 months. Few staff issues also. Hope it sorts itself out.
19 Sep 2010 23:08
Not quite as good on last few visits as before. No roast beef on a Sunday !

We ran this pub until Sept 2005 and its sad to see a pub restaurant with so much character consigned to the history books.

Now the Exchequer. Looks promising. Good selection of ales. Food good value, ales a little pricey.
