The Whyteleafe Tavern, Whyteleafe
Not a great pub and considering it's the only one in the area it could be so much more
But I suppose having no competiton it doesn't need to be anything else as people will always drink here

Great little pub that is hidden away on the backstreets - highly recommended

Decent before an England game and you get a better atmosphere in here than at the stadium!
Wouldn't go here otherwise though

A fine away pub for fans before a match but not too keen otherwise - if you want a drink by the river walk 5 minutes down the river path to the Red Lion

Quite like this place. When we are prepared for a walk down from Charing Cross we usually end up in here and it is a decent little boozer - one of my favourites in London

Awful place to drink at any time of the week, but I've always found pubs around this area to be generally bad so it's a case of picking the least bad! This is therefore one of the "better" ones around the area and we usually end up in here for a bad night
Hope this makes sense!

Champagne Charlie's, Charing Cross
Personally quite like the place - a "cosy" environment and if you go early in the week you can get a nice quiet table and have some decent food/wine

one of the better pubs I've been in for away fans! Good location from the ground and also close to the station

the place is fine - we sat outside in the sun
only problem we had was the building work right next to the beer garden and we had chips of wood landing on us! not the pub's fault though so I won't mark down for that

Not keen. Is more of a restaurant than a pub and was dead quiet when we were in there so you felt like you couldn't talk above a whisper without everyone listening to your conversation

Quite like the place as it's a bit out of the way - fairly bog standard pub but there's plenty of room and not a bad way to spend an afternoon drinking

Not keen - only used to go there when I worked close by but is overpriced and too small
and now after complaints from residents you aren't allowed to drink outside so it gets very packed inside
give it a miss

not a bad pub - very cheap for where it is and if you can get a seat upstairs it's not a bad place to spend a night after work

Not too keen after the re-fit although is in a good location if you are heading to the football after a couple of pre-match pints
7 Oct 2009 14:39
not a bad little boozer - not as keen after the re-fit but if I'm in the area I'm more than happy to pop in for a couple

The New Cross Turnpike, Welling
is the best pub in Welling as another poster has said and that doesn't say a lot for Welling!
but all in all a decent 'spoons pub which is cheap and cheerful

The Guy Earl of Warwick, Welling
only good for football days I'm afraid and is surprisingly expensive as well for what it is

Fantastic pub by the river - on a sunny day it can't be beaten for sitting outside with a cold pint!

nice little cosy pub in Sheringham that serves a good chip buttie - only thing is the place can be a bit dead at times and you feel you are talking to the room and not just the person you are with!

Great pub by the river and right next to the station - will be back

The Mitre, Oxford
Is a Beefeater but we found a quiet corner of the pub to drink in for a few hours and was an enjoyable afternoon
