Never eaten there, but always found it to be clean, nice decor, decent drinks, good staffing , and prompt and friendly service. Could do with being made to slightly less shop like, needs something a little more interesting i terms of look and feel , but not terrible.

The Mill House possibly should be renamed the hell house , I appreciate its designed for families to eat there, but when you are surrounded by hordes of screaming mini chavs, with their parents bellowing at them across the room, its not pleasant. The staff are appallingly trained and motivated they quite honestly cannot care less, its almost amazing how indifferent they are to any concept of customer service. The food is appalling, tasteless mass catered junk , thats slopped onto plates and arrives in completely random order, starters after main courses, or together or sometimes not at all. You sometimes are told things have run out 25 minutes after you ordered... unbelievable !
The beers have a weird habit of being connected to the wrong pipes and you get cider mixed with lager etc , does anyone there have any experience of working in a pub ever ? The decor is corporate , boring and does well to cover up all the food that the mini chavs drop everywhere. I frankly would rather buy chips and take them home than eat or drink here its dreadful.

Sir Audley Arms , a little bit out of the way, but OK , big uglyish building, quite a neighbourhod feel to the place, good for sports watching with big screens, decent bar, and prompt if not particularly friendly service. Its not decorated in a way that you might remember its very standard pub decor, but OK. Big parking spaces, and bar food thats not cordon bleu but reasonably OK for a standard menu. Its not anywhere you would aspire to go, but its Ok for catching the football or rugby in a decemt sports environment , quiz nights are loud and funny. Toliets at least gents kept clean (always a good indicator of the genral standard of hygiene particularly in places that serve food.
Things to improve bar staff friendliness, although thats sadly not unusual these days anywhere, some more interesting range of drinks, and some better decor, but not sure its clientele would be that bothered either way.

The New Inn, is all that a real pub should be , it has a friendly landlord with a good fund of funny tales, a good mix of characters, some funny , some bloody annoying, some seemingly mad as hatters, reasonable choice of beers and drinks. Amazing crisp selection. Very small inside and very warm with open fires etc, decor quite basic but thats not really why you go here,. Its a nice experience and you re made to feel welcome, not as if you are visiting a McDonalds with beer such as Wetherspoons etc .

Black Horse OK pub , usually good swift service, prices and beers OK, usually very busy at weekends, however when it is busy at weekends, deafening music, sweaty atmosphere, and a load of pretty yobby folks is not that attractive. Building OK , but again toilets at the weekend are pretty gross

The Bear OK pub with a pretty standard selection of drinks, and is decorated reasonably well, its clean and well lit, however it has a strangely transitory feel about it, i.e it doesent seem to have regulars, it feels like a bar in a train station or airport , everyone is just passing through. The bar staff are OK , however service is not always all it could be.
Its location at the top of the market place is nice and it has a great facade and is quite imposing, but strangely small inside, and everyone now and then hosts small mobile discos , which are quite dated as a concept now, and should be quietly abandoned. The fact that it requires security at weekends is quite strange, its doesent seem like it would attract kids/yobs etc.

The Four seasons an old building OK from outside, decorated inside in corporate crap trying to look like an old pub style. It seems to run on an idea of constant karaoke, loud discos, and terrible music. The few times we have been there its been awful, definitely the ageing alchoholics pub of choice in the day, and the loud kev and sharon crowd in the evenings. The service is OK, the cleanliness is OK , apart from the gents which needs work. Never have wanted to eat there so cant really say what the food is like , but I cant imagine eating in that atmosphere to be honest. Needs a lot of work to bring this up to any standard I would visit regularly.

The Brunel is centrally located, clean, chain pub , its modern, clean , bland and corporate , basically everything you would expect from chain pubs really. It has a good selection of beers, and other drinks , and bland corporate food that is reasonably well prepared. Does what it says on the tin really. Its good for sports watching with live sports and good TV,s. The service is the downside bar staff are not friendly, and not particularly efficient either, and the row of grotty chips and burger bars across the road are not very appealing in terms of outlook.

Visited the Flemish Weaver in Corsham last night, we entered the bar , there was no one behind it, we stood waiting for five minutes or so, until someone came out of the kitchen, and the bar maid broke off her conversations with her friends and came to serve us. Not a welcome that impressed. Of the four (yes four) choices on the menu, three were unavailable, but we could have steak. We didnt really want that but there was very little choice. The starters were also at less than 50% availability too, I asked if we could have bruschetta , the chef apparently didnt "have bruschetta" i.e bread , tomatoes, olive oil, and onion !!! . However when our main meal arrived the steak was very fatty and not well cooked, it came with a vast pile of greasy chips and what looked like an entire bag of rocket salad tipped on the plate. We had to ask for salt, vinegar, sauces etc, in all an extremely poor dining experience. A few other points to note this the 2nd saturday before Christmas, we had booked and it was 8.30 in the evening, the fire in the piub was barely going, and in all organisation was sadly lacking . They did give us a free wine and apologised, however we wont be going back , this was a very poor experience that was very expensive for what we experienced.
