It's alright and the landlord works hard to keep his beer and standard good. I support him and wish him well. Good Jennings on tap. Worth a visit.

The Bird in the Hand, Knolls Green
Lovely pub but never quite seems to make it. Last good landlord was Andy Towers some years ago who had it very good. Obvious schism with brewery relationship and he went. AVerage ever since. Hopefully it will recover one day.

Wasn't good last time I was in there early 2007. Aged landlady with midriff hanging out and general withdrawal of previous quite good standards food and services built up by previous manager. Dirty and smelly toilets. Bad sign. Will have another visit to see if it's improved Oct 2007.

Windmill seems to have improved with recent change of manager although I believe the food still isn't what it should be. Hopefully the new guy will get it back to good again. The locals seem optimistic

Nice place but average food and service. Quite expensive. Benchmarked by butter in sachets and toilets not quite right. Also serves that pretend and odious "nouvelle cuisine". Ugh! Average for Britain.

Not so good these days - 2007. Love the place but food and service now pretty desperate. Big fall in standards in my regular favourite.

The Roebuck Inn, Mobberley
You may be served by VERY young children who haven't a clue about service or much else. You can also guess at their rate of pay as you shell out your big bucks for your meal which may be average as per my experiences.
Previously listed building with interesting features unknown to present wall-ripperouterouters.
