This used to be a great place to stop off for a pint or 2, the landlord who ran it in the past has gone and I presume Arkells have put in a temporary manager, when I asked what real ales were available I was given the choice of 2 lagers, there was no cider and limited spirits, my money is on this largish pub/hotel becoming flats before much longer! Avoid!

The Seven Springs, Seven Springs
Cheap basic fare, suited to a cheap meal out with children that doesn't involve MacDonalds or KFC, nice bar and restaurant areas. I have been a few times and the food has always been good if not inspiring. Greene King IPA on draught which is an OK pint certainly far better than John Smiths. Staff have always been attentive and polite.

The Kemble Brewery Inn, Cheltenham
Off the beaten track hidden away in rows of Victorian terraced houses I didn't expect much of this little pub, however I was very pleased to find that both staff and locals were very friendly, excellent real ales, a small garden and bar that feels like you are in a house that has had the walls knocked out and a bar put down the side! Well worth a detour if you are in the town. Recommended.

Great place years ago but has turned into a wine bar setup, not a lot of atmosphere at the weekend and very expensive, deals to be had early in the week when there is a student night, only worth a score of about 3 but due to the student nights (I am not a student!) I give it a 5

Ok pub, no garden just a few chairs on the small area at the front, Wadworths beers are good but a bit on the dear side, Henrys IPA was 2.00 for a while.

Lovely old pub with seating at the side and a large interior divided into cosy smaller areas for drinking or dining. A very popular carvery is available for 3.50 and a pint for 1.69. The staff are very welcoming and the quality of food is very good despite the low price. Well served ales, it is almost a requirement to try this pub, I promise you will go back!

The Moon Under Water, Cheltenham
Cheltenhams only Wetherspoons provides almost the only place in the town where a pint can be bought at a sensible price, quite a nicely designed pub, large having been a car showroom years ago, comfortable inside with a small garden to the rear overlooking a park, for some reason all the tables and chairs at the front have gone which is a shame as I quite enjoyed sitting with a pint and watching the world go by. Never the less excellent for those who want decent food and well served beer at a realistic price.

Much more comfortable than the other Wetherspoons pub in Gloucester, same great value food and drink, but the smaller environment and well designed seating areas are more conducive to the enjoyment of a pint or two with friends.

I can't help but like Wetherspoons for their reasonable prices, ale is well kept, food is good, the only let down with this ex cinema is the sheer size of it! A few cosy areas near the entrance open out into one of the largest areas of public bar I have ever been in! Never had a problem getting a seat, never had a bad pint! Well worth a visit

Traditional pub, not one to take the kids too, decent range of drink, very busy when the rugby crowd are in town, a few dodgy regulars, but what pub doesn't!

The North End Vaults, Gloucester
This pub is one of those that reminds you that there is a reason why 7 pubs a week are closing, dark, dirty, and a bunch of regulars who wouldn't look out of place in the cantina on star wars! Served a good pint of Doombar but the atmosphere was really threatening so it was hard to enjoy, wont ever be going there again.

The Quaich, Cheltenham
Oh I forgot to mention, apart from the barman myself and a friend were the only customers, very unfortunate considering the possibilities that should be available for this wonderful building.
