The sanity of a pub near a suicide spot is odd. Great location for views mind you.

The Windsor Castle, Clapham Junction
Not sure how long this shall last with the re-vamp of Clapham station, even so this two room pub is good.

Yes, I think it does have a long bar, but it did not seem that amazing. Good pub.

One of Swindons better pubs. Small sitting area but lots of real ale.

Would not seek it out and would need to think 3 times before deciding to eat here.

Excellent beer, hardly any sitting space. Very expensive real ale.

Pretty nice country pub by the castle. Good ale range, food is up and down.

Ate and drank here - did not like the food, but there was a pizza restaurant associated with the pub which is probably better.

The Amsterdam, Shoreham By Sea
Tried to eat here once, stayed for about 10 minutes, no service. Times may of changed...

Not much in way of great beer, but can always buy a Stella or Guinness here.

A little upmarket if you ask me. It is not too bad overall.

Bog standard food, worth a go if in the mood. Also it is combined with a golf driving range.

The Black Swan, Martyr's Green
Pretty decent, lots of seating, too expensive for eating.
11 Jul 2010 18:21
Pretty good food and rich in flavour. Likes of Pride, IPA and Surrey Hills on tap. Extensive lager range.
11 Jul 2010 18:20
Excellent choice of real ales here. There is a jukebox as well.

Strange place, full of coloured chairs and tables. Looks more like a childrens play school than a pub. Not the best place to go, pretty basic as anywhere goes. Does a few beers but no real ales.

An Ember Inn pub. Roll out the red carpets. Decent pub with a food orientated feel.

The Thatched Cottage, Farnborough
Pub with plenty of character and the best pub for real ale in the area.
25 Jun 2010 22:29
Excellent pub which is the best place for watching sport on the TV.
25 Jun 2010 22:29
Reasonable drinking venue with quite a few real ales on. Slightly dated feel to the pub.
25 Jun 2010 22:28
Solid pub split into two rooms. Quite small, but decent atmosphere.

The Ham and Blackbird, Farnborough
Eating venue mainly, but a couple of real ales on. Large sitting space inside and out. Average venue.

Sat outside here. Pretty good, 3 real ales on - had the 6X. Also Bombardier and Deuchars IPA. I know, hardly the most exciting list! Worth a go, but expensive.

Excellent pub with 4 real ales on the handpump. A splendid discovery!!.

Great pub and great location. What more could you want? Excellent pizza and garlic bread. Good Phoenix beer.
24 Jun 2010 17:46
Great pub and great beer. Fine in the summer or on a nice day. What more do you need?
24 Jun 2010 17:44
They stopped serving at 12.30 even though it stays open to 1am on Saturdays. Probably wise.
13 Jun 2010 13:20
Walked past and it is boarded up. Not sure what they are going to do with it.
13 Jun 2010 13:19
Pint of King John beer was not very well kept at all. The pint of T.E.A however was much better. It is a very nice pub but the staff can be a little immature in their attitude at times.

Much improved after recent refurbishment, Shepherd Neame ales were all on and the menu looked appetising. All in all a much cleaner pub now.

I also noticed that it was closed when walking past. Shame if we have lost one of the towns real ale pubs, full of characters this place will be sadly missed.

The Griffin, Claygate
Definitely a pub for older people in particular.
