On the main road, and no parking, but a decent boozer. Friendly locals and a drop dead gorgeous blonde barmaid called 'Roxy'
I'd return and sink a few whilst I try my pathetic chat-up lines on Roxy!!

Now boarded up and looking a real eye-sore.
Security in abundance to stop thieving pikeys robbing anything of value.

Christ on a bike! This is without doubt, the worst place I have 'dined' in Coventry.......and that includes my mother-in-laws' cooking!
If you have ANY reservations about recommendations from people in cyber space, I BEG you to heed my advice and steer well clear of this dump!
The ONLY good thing about my visit was the vast car park, but looking back, pretty ironic having such a big car park when there were hardly any customers in the place.......and this was early Friday evening! I think that says quite a lot!!

This was without doubt, one of the finest restaurants in Coventry, what happened? Two for One promotions! Leave that bilge for downmarket pubs that need to sell food to survive! Have some pride in your once renowned establishment and get back to how it was where the barman knew how to mix a martini, Dover Sole was boned at the table and men wore a jacket and tie

Want a CD player for your car? A 'new' Blue Ray DVD player or the latest iPhone? Get to Kellys Bar and the thieving pikeys that frequent it will happily take your order and have your 'goods' with you within 24 hours...........no reciepts, and no questions asked!
Fagin would be proud of this den of thieves!
AVOID!!!!

so-so pub. Not too shabby and a decent pint, but locals glare at you on the way in. Y'know the type, shaven headed, bare chested with ENGLAND flags draped over their tattooed torsos.
Ran a Comedy Club which was really poor, the 'comics' were second-rate wannabees that steal material from Peter Kay/Chubby Brown DVDs, and you HAVE to laugh otherwise they'll slaughter you infront of the 'Jeremy Kyle Audience' type customers.
The chip shop acrossthe road does serve a decent fish and chips all said and done!

You know in those old westerns when a stranger walks into a saloon and the piano player stops playing and everyone stares at you? Well, The Hayrick 'experience' is exactly that.
Probably a decent local pub for regulars, but anyone NOT from around here might want to give it a miss.
Usual bar flys at the bar holding up service, snot nosed kids charging everywhere. I spoke to the landlord who is ex-military, and thought with his discipline background, he'd have sorted it out, but alas it seems not.
Nice original 1970s features that should be restored to their full glory

Declined a lot over 18 months. Menu reduced a lot, slow service and HIGH prices. Pity, used to be a decnt venue for customers wanting something upmarket and special

I hated it, really hated it.....full of snot nosed brats charging about the place prior to being exhausted at the Wacky Warehouse. Saw a scruffy chef in a filthy jacket playing the bandit, seeing his dirty and grimy appearence, I opted to ignore the menu and have a pint instead. Thuggish looking casual staff from nearby LYNX packaging all dropped by and the language was very colourful......considering kids were about, NO effort made by management to request they at least kept their voices down. A dump unless you are parents of brats with no consideration for others or a thuggish parcel handle person with no qualifications apart from excessive drinking skills with language to match

Once upon a time, this 'legendary' venue was the essential live spot 25 years ago. U2, Wings, ZZ Top (a Castle Donington warm up show) have all played here. Now its a delapidated shell of its former glory. A crying shame. Beer tastes as lifeless as the venue. Dodgy looking drinkers eye you up giving a very unwelcome feel thrown in for free.

Has a 'reputation' for making new customers feel unwelcome. I found it to be quite nice all said and done. Sky Sports on TV and a decent pint served by helpful staff. Nice one!! Better than some of the 'established' venues around Nuneaton.

Full of promise and I anticipated a great evening. WRONG!!!!!! Unless you are a 'regular' then expect to be treated as a second class citizen. Regulars seemed to be served before anyone else, bar staff gave a bored sigh when asked about the ales, like they've been asked a million times before. The gents toilet had a river of piss from a blocked urinal, and when mentioned to the (unhelpful) barman, his (brilliant)reply was 'I'm here to serve piss, not clear it up'. That comment alone did make the night in itself....apart from that, it was poor

The best little pub in Soho, I love the place since it was immortalised when I read The Clash drank here and their then manager, Bernie Rhodes insisted he had to have 'Complete Control' over the running of the band, which descended into Joe and Mick pissing themselves laughing and writing a song about it.
We found it out JUST for that story, but whenever I visit London, I always head to The Ship for a deserved pint.

The Attleborough Arms, Nuneaton
I regularly eat here with my wife on a Friday lunchtime, but it has gone downhill a LOT recently. Tables are cluttered with empty glasses and finished dinner plates. We like a nice quiet spot, but the usual covern of teachers usually spoil that by cramming 8 or so of them around a table for 6 and cackle amongst themselves, getting louder and louder.
The staff were once friendly and helpful, but now seem ill mannered with a 'yeah, mate?' when I approach to order drinks and it seems a real effort to get served.
A little footnote here to the management, get some 5 notes in, Im sick of getting 8 change in 1 coins!!

GREAT little venue. Beer tastes like yesterdays piss, but it IS a rock venue with some fine music.
Friendly place all said and done.

My previous report was removed for a personal attack on the landlord, so I am re-posting this report, being careful not to re-offend.
I visited this once great establishment and was very disappointed. The carpark was tiny with cars double parked. We parked in nearby All Saints Lane to avoid the shambles with diners having to leave a half eaten meal to move their car so someone could leave.
The food menu was good, but the wait to order was unacceptable and it was obvious that the Pheasant was either short staffed or cannot cope with a busy period.
Seeing cooks with dirty white jackets leaving the kitchen to use the customer tolets was not a good endorsement, but that aside, the food was acceptable.
No considerations for non-smokers was not good, and the waitresses were the usual mix of locals who really don't want to be there on a friday when they could beout with their mates...thats the impression we got.
I was in a filthy mood to begin with as we'd stopped at a nearby pub and my CD player was stolen from my car.
I would not recommend The Pheasant if you want to visit at a busy time, but its probably OK in the daytime when its a lot less busy

Frequented by pikeys and the place to go if you want your CD player stolen from your car as mine was!!!

Corner House, Bedworth
Once renowned establishment that like so many others, has resorted to the 'Two for One' gimmick.
The place relies on its once reputable status to draw in regulars, but to be honest, its flogging a dead horse. Far better 'rivals' with far better menu's, and driving out is akin to a suicide run with a nasty sharp bend on your right on the exit, so be careful!!
