The Pineapple, Amersham Common

Good place for families. Food is OK and reasonably priced. Staff friendly.

Ivy House, Chalfont St Giles

I like the food and the staff are friendly. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Not really a pub any more.

White Hart, Chalfont St Giles

Great food. Nice garden. More restaurant than pub. Worth a visit.

The Gate Hangs Well, Stoke Prior

Stopped here last Sunday for lunch. Lovely food, great service. Worth finding.

The Green Dragon, Flaunden

New management. Mostly Thai food but you can get british pub food and sandwiches too. Watch the Thai stuff though - it's wickedly hot. Staff very friendly, beer was good and not too costly. It's the sort of pub you'd find in films - very British (except the new menu!). Nice location too.

The King and Queen, Wendover

Stopped for a quick lunch. Very impressed with the service and food. As long as you are not expecting sport on wide screen TVs, loud music, grimy furnishings, hordes of teenagers and a smoke-laden atmosphere, you should enjoy this one.

The Falcon Inn, Denham

Sat in the "garden" over a couple of drinks on a lovely evening. Very pleasant. Friendly staff and good service. Keep meaning to go back and try the food..........

The Ugly Duckling (Harvester), Tatling End

Now a Toby Carvery. Had an excellent meal there the other day. Great value and family friendly. A no-smoking pub throughout although you can always sit in the garden or, as I saw two customers do, go and sit in your car for a fag.

The Greyhound, Chalfont St Peter

It's just not my sort of pub. Nice interior but drinks are pricey enough for you to expect a decent level of service and well trained, well mannered staff - and I'm afraid you may well be disappointed.

The Wagon and Horses, Chalfont St Peter

Great traditional pub. Very friendly atmosphere and the landlord and his staff are first class. Beer is always well kept. Most major sporting events on the telly. Nice patio at rear. It's a small pub and can get very busy especially on Friday nights - with a resultant excess of smoke. Dart board but quite a few regulars are keen darts players so you will probably have to chalk before you get a game.

The Dumb Bell, Chalfont St Peter

Friendly pub in a great location - middle of nowhere. Good beer. Carvery is good value. Recent refurb means demise of pool table but darts have remained. Large garden with plenty of kids play equipment. Always some sports showing on one of the many televisions. If you want a quiet drink go somewhere else.
