| Pretty good Spoons, this one. The full refurbishment obviously helps, but the place is kept well clean, food and beer is good and staff are friendly enough. Nice garden outside. Not far off a bus route so is accessible by public transport. PhilR - 24 Mar 2012 19:22 |

| This is my favouite pub at the moment. Only reopened about 5 or 6 weeks ago after a major refurbishment to a very high standard by the new owners Wetherspoons. Top quality real ales, usually about 6 or 7 to choose from at 2 different bars, and only �2.35 a pint!! There is plenty of good quality seating inside, a small patio area and quite a large garden. The food is the usual wetherspoon's offering but the quality seems to be better here than other 'spoons. The staff are always polite and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
