In a picture postcard village and a thatched pub. I went here for a meal and was not disappointed and the beer was good too... although I still prefer Everard's Original to Tiger. J1985 - 18 Apr 2006 09:42 |
Now reopened after a dispute over the requirement to keep the traditional thatched roof was resolved (pleased to say with full thatch back in place). Pub looks much the same as it did before the blaze, with split bar, impressive garden & skittle alley, plus a few cosmetic adjustments, all for the better. Still under the direction of Everards & still one of their better efforts. young_camra_collectiv - 29 Dec 2005 16:41 |
Nice Everards village pub just off the A47 with traditional thatched roofing & tremendous views from the back beer garden. Handy for walking. Good, clean full Everards range & decent food. Unfortunately seriously damaged in a fire in late 2004. Doesn't look like reopening anytime soon. young_camra_collectiv - 2 May 2005 16:16 |
