The Druid Inn, Birchover

Very nice pub right under Rowtor rocks, which, if your in this area definitely requires climbing up and around... a series of eerily smooth rocks, caves, pools, carvings and overhangs, with lovely views all around... The pub has Peak ales Chatsworth best, Bradfield Farmers blonde and a beer called Druids (tipple?), can’t remember, but a dark beer that went down well.. Sunday lunch was decent as well. As a midlands lad, the Peak District (whilst obviously beautiful) can be annoying, Idiots in Range Rovers with clothing made for the North face of the Eiger on what is basically a stroll... But definitely recommend the pub...

The Grove, Exmouth

Young’s London Original and Special on hand pull.. not a cheap round, but roaring fire and busy on a Thursday February evening suggest a well frequented pub.. bet this gets busy in summer...
