Great Fullers pub, the HSB was spot on!! Nice décor but the carpark is a bit of a nightmare. Nice building in a very nice location. 8/10 from me!! wolvesfan - 23 Apr 2017 13:33 |
Took the family here last week. It used to be a great value for money and top tucker. Not so any more. The portions have become miniscule and the prices sky high. A one inch by one inch piece of haloumi cheese in a haloumi cheese salad starter - come on!!! (5.95 i think) It's such a shame as it's a lovely pub, good beer and reasonable staff but I won't be back for food any time soon. chrispy71 - 11 Jun 2011 16:03 |
Once upon a time this pub was always busy in the evening and attracted both drinkers and diners. There was often a wait for a table and you felt lucky to find a parking space. The new owners have tried to take it up-market and it has become another pub trying to serve restaurant food at restaurant prices. The staff, pleasant but a tad pushy, appear to have been trained to upsell and we were personally recommended the special costing 25.95! (Might have been 26.95). We settled for something cheaper, but the food portions were not generous . Nowadays the pub and car park is much less busy.....Nuff said! morganplus4 - 11 May 2011 18:55 |
Had a pint of HSB and some carrot and coriander soup at lunchtime. Prices were most reasonable for both and the quality was very good. Staff were most helpful. Will return sometime later to sample the food menu. Feed - 7 May 2011 21:17 |
Went on a mid week unchtime and found staff helpful and friendly if a little vacant. Ale was in good condition but a little pricey as was the food which was a bit dear but was very nice - none of the problems that charlie encountered. odbod - 4 Nov 2010 13:17 |
