The Pilgrims Inn, Marchwood
Once upon a time this pub was always busy in the evening and attracted both drinkers and diners. There was often a wait for a table and you felt lucky to find a parking space.
The new owners have tried to take it up-market and it has become another pub trying to serve restaurant food at restaurant prices. The staff, pleasant but a tad pushy, appear to have been trained to upsell and we were personally recommended the special costing �25.95! (Might have been �26.95). We settled for something cheaper, but the food portions were not generous .
Nowadays the pub and car park is much less busy.....Nuff said!
