| We went to this pub with the kids, Wayne and Pennie where great. The pub has changed so much. We had dinner and we where surprised by the cost and the portion sizes plus the food tasted brilliant. | Nice slightly old-fashioned "proper" pub (I mean this in a good way). Beer adequate if not spectacular. Despite having a power cut when I was there they managed to provide a filling warm lunchtime snack! All in all a pleasant place and worth a visit. dromdick - 19 Dec 2010 13:06 |
| A surprisingly good local pub on my visit a few months back, I have to admit I wasn't expecting much. Greedy King ale was decently served (even if the range was a bit limited). Pub was busy for a weekday night. Fair cross-section of punters, ladies darts team were throwing arrows and there was a lively buzz about the place. The interior was quite nicely done.
