A local bar for local people. Swift pint of pedigree (not brilliant) and off elsewhere before they take umbrage and summon The Witchfinder General. Snarling_Mallard - 25 Nov 2014 17:48 |
On a recent Friday evening visit the pub was very busy but the staff were friendly and attentive and insisted on cleaning my table before I sat down. Beer was excellent and atmosphere was welcoming. Had to leave to catch a bus but would have gladly stayed all night. Recommended. villagefamily - 2 Dec 2011 11:49 |
This pub has recently been taken over by a new landlord and the beer is much improved since my earlier comment. Top marks for effort, shame about the Pedigree. doctorpint - 21 Jun 2008 19:58 |
Because there is always a good few of customers drinking the local Predigree it has a good throughput and is threfore always a good pint. When this is the case guest beers are not needed. Pleasant staff and landord. Shame it is not big enough to do catering. peterandmonica - 23 Apr 2007 15:45 |
This is a good pub for a quick pint and plenty of slow ones. Despite there being only one room, its actually four with rare, invisible partitions. The bar has a the world's smallest tv screen, and there's table football where locals live out the unlikely dreams of Burton Albion. The brothers who run the place are friendly guys and the beer always tastes lovely. londinieres - 9 Sep 2006 20:25 |
