Now the priory - with the same level of alcoholics in residence! Extremely busy and cramped though good service once you managed to get to the bar - couple of unmemorable real ales. Why do people block the way then moan when they are asked to move? Even more difficult to exit. Would not like to be in here in here during an emergency evacuation! keith253 - 3 Feb 2011 15:10 |
This is a good bar only let down by the meat heads on the door on a Friday night. I've never come across such ignorant morons with bad attitude. I hasten to add, this was my observation at their treatment of other visitors, very arrogant and rude. To the management, nice bar, shame about the welcoming committee. Find yourselves some doormen who can do such a nice bar justice. sophiesly - 6 Aug 2010 23:31 |
Popped in last night. Now sell real ale. Three beers on. There was a lively pub quiz going on with free food available on the bar. I was impressed by the atmosphere and the friendly service from the bar-staff. I'll make this a port of call when I'm in Tynemouth. zipdiskdude - 25 Nov 2009 16:04 |
yes its The Priory went in sunday lunchtime and impressed with new decor , however it felt more like a restraunt that sold beer as opposed to being aPub. young staff , seemed under pressure serving food all over the place not a smile among them. might be different in the evening. beer was expensive joncc - 14 Oct 2009 17:03 |
