Don't bother trying, if they don't fancy serving, they simply close, an hour early today. Perhaps a sign of things to come under the new Fullers regieme? 22:00 Monday, shut, well doors open but washing up "because we can't justify staying open". I was a customer with cash in hand and an hour on published opening hours to run.....

Sandwiches served with very stale bread.
Club sandwich bears no relation to any club sandwich you have ever seen before, and made with stale bread.

A really nice Havant pub. Good beer and feels safe and friendly. Not something that can be said for any other pub round here.

Excellent range of Fullers beers and usually an interesting guest beer Also very good value food.

Quaint mock tudor looking Fullers (nee Gales) house. Reasonable kind of pub with a few low points for tall people to bash their heads on and an excellent smokers area out back. Not a bad pint of Gales HSB either.

Best pub in Havant hands down. Live football, freindly locals and the chavs stay away.

Very nice. Well kept pub and beer. Decent clientele unlike many other places in Havant

Most pubs in Havant are not very hospitable, this one is a welcome exception to the rule. The beer is kept in top condition by the landlord, who along with his charming wife and dedicated staff, make your visit very pleasant.Didn`t have time too try the food,(which looked fantastic) this time. I`ll let you know about the food when I return, hopefully in the very near future. Graet pub ,well worth a visit.

Not bad at all - beer is still pretty decent and the quiet lounge bar is pleasant enough.
Nice garden too.

Despite the fears which arose following Fuller's purchase of Gales, these fears have proven unfounded. Yes, you can now purchase London Pride alonside HSB, but the pub has retained all the character and charm it has enjoyed for more than my lifetime - 21 years

3rd pub I tried in Havant, just as I was giving up to go back to wait for my train. Had my first 2 pints in Havant, and got 2 watch 15mins of Ireland v France. Good beer and what seemed a good pub, will visit again if stuck in Havant.
Little complaint, the first door I tried (far end on pic above) was either stuck or locked. Feeling a complete idiot, as there was lots of people watching me, nearly didn't try the other door. Glad I did.

Easily the best pub in Havant. Free from idiots due to it's run of exceptional quality landlords this is a nice quiet traditional pub with a pleasant atmosphere. I've been drinking there for over 25 years and it's always a pleasure. The staff are friendly and efficient and the barmaids are amongst the best looking I've ever seen (I'm not being sexist in saying that, just giving them credit). It welcomes regulars and visitors in the same warm manner unlike some others in the area. It also boasts the best pub garden in Havant. As I write the pub has just had a slight makeover but has still kept the charm its always had. I've been a regular in at least 3 other pubs but I'm always coming back to this one. Incidently Kathleen Turner the Hollywood actress uses the pub whenever she's over here. I met her once in there and she gave the same reasons, it's friendly, traditional and always welcoming. Highly recommended.

Hannah has saidly mistaken mock tudor for the real deal. This is actually located in the oldest surviving part of Havant. Probably the best pub in the town as there has been, as yet, no Burberry invasion. Fluoro jackets have also ben kept to a mininum. The ale is kept moderately well too and they even have a guest ale now and then.

this is cosy, olde worlde pub, in the heart of a modern (ish) town. as i said, its very cosy, with tudor style decor lining both inside and out. food and drink are both good and very reasonably priced.
