We've tried it a couple of times since the change of ownership. One time had no bitter on. Avoid at all costs.

Visited yesterday and the pub was open - although as we were the only customers at 8pm it might not be for much longer. London Pride available and the bar staff were friendly - probably glad for someone to talk to.

I work very near this pub dont like it and never use, however it is closed and has been for about a week.

This place has plenty of outside seating as can be seen in the above picture and there is a pool table in a raised room to the left of the pub. The main bar has a plasma screen and there is a projector screen on the wall behind a small stage which was set up for a solo guitarist on my Saturday evening visit. Some of the tables were laid out with table cloths and cutlery giving a strange mix of sports pub and cheap restaurant and Im afraid the mix doesnt really work very well.
The barmaid was friendly and Pride was available along with Bombardier, but my Guinness was undrinkable so I would steer well clear of the ales.
I wont be drinking in this pub again.

A quite shocking 'bar'...
This is not a pub, it isnt a nice pleasant place either...
Its a rough place with little to reccomend it.

Been going here for the last 15 years on and off. After several fights ending up in someone going through the banister on the stairs we left for the White Swan. The landlord knew his ales though. Recently the Portuguese have taken over. The fights generally stopped but the ale quality plummeted and the prices rocketed. Only a poor Pride remains and the Bombardier pump remains with its label turned round. Don't ever expect it to be on though.
The Portuguese are genuinely friendly and have seemed to have turned the place around. They seem to also have live music some nights and football the rest. Gents loos have greatly improved but still on a low par with the rest in the area.

Following our last review in December I can report very little seems to have changed. Still run by the Portugese. Never seems to get busy at a lunch time. The staff are also pleasant to me and the Boyz.

Went to this pub for the first time recently. My inital reaction from outside was that this was going to be a bit rough but having ventured inside, there were 2 empty pool tables (always good!), the footie was on and everyone, especially the bar staff seemed friendly. All was well until the locals walked in and made sure we knew it was their pub/tables by seeing which of them could swear and generally intimidate the most. Initial reactions are usually right!

I visited this pub for the first time last Sunday and was very surprised by the friendliness of staff, the delicious food and the good atmosphere. It was a great experience and I shall frequenting this pub more often. Yes, as people have stated, it is run by the Portuguese, which is great, as they know about food and treating their customers well. It had the added bonus of being able to watch the footie, great pub all round.

Very "council". Beer and service were fine, but the place is a dump. It's the kind of pub where everyone stops to look at you when you walk in, and I got the impression from looking at the customers that the place wasn't entirely unfamiliar with a good old ruck of a Friday night. Very much a locals' boozer.

Still run by the Portugese. Ordering food can be fun or an ordeal depending on your point of view. The staff do respond well to a smile. We've never left a tip. Have visited it several times but have never seen a fight but it does sometimes have an "air" to the place especially the "upstairs" part.

Grotty housing-estate boozer. Two decent pool tables, and plenty of seating inside and out. Little english spoken behind the bar, and in fact when I recently visited I was served by a barmaid who didn't speak english at all. Of the three ales on tap, Bombadier, GKIPA, London Pride, only Pride was available, and it was very rough indeed, being severely oxidised. The food menu looked reasonable, but I make a point of not eating in pubs where the toilets are an inch deep in piss.

This is a pub in a modern flatblock and is, as people have said, run by Portuguese. This informs a slightly different service culture, for example, large rounds may be brought to your table (they don't want you spilling it after all!) and they may well expect a tip. Two real ales (London Pride and IPA). It wasn't very busy on a Friday lunchtime, which may have to do with it looking like an estate pub - so people don't go in there thinking it'll be rough, though it's actually quite pleasant. Background music varied from Abba to Toto Cutugno.

Immediately suspicious when change was given on a saucer ... smacks of 'leave a tip' before you've tasted the goods. Good beer though and seemingly friendly staff. Will visit again on my next V-V (Vauxhall to Victoria) crawl after work on a Saturday afternoon :)

This place is truely bizzare ! It appears to be run by a portugese family, as they were all wearing F.C porto footie tops when i visited recently..! They were also having a portugese BBQ and the music had a distinctly latin feel to it aswell ! All very strange considering its in the middle of pimlico and a very very british type pub. two pool tables, decent range of beers, and a large beer garden out front.. I found all the staff to be extremely friendly, but they seemed particularly fond of chatting to my girlfriend when i went to the toilet and any women at all who entered the bar ! The annoying thing was they broke into portugese when they did it, blatantly leaving me frustrated as to what it was they were saying ! judge for yoursleves, but ladies might find it somewhat "seedy" !!
