Now a private members club for fat bald QPR thugs.

I clocked this pub in a Saturday afternoon and thought I'd pay a visit in the evening. On the pretext of taking my mates dog for a walk I attempted to squeeze by the smokers at the door. " No fucking dogs allowed in here pal" was the most welcoming words I'd ever heard. I doffed my cap and ran.

A Mate took me in here for a couple of pints of the black stuff, dirty, smelly old mans pub I LOVED IT, no probs with the locals as there was only one in there and he was pished

Awful.

QPR vs Bristol..... Smashing.................

A small, two-bar corner pub very popular on match days. They may as well have a No women sign on the door, such is the lack of the fairer sex drinking in the British Queen. Located on the corner of Thorpebank Rd, where interestingly they filmed Monty Pythons Flying Circus BBC series. Also back in the late 1950s when Rangers were then in the Third Division, the players were not well paid and often had to live as lodgers in houses close to the ground and Thorpebank Road seemed to have more than its fair share of Rangers players living in the road.

My local, great pub. A real pub. I'm sorry rpadam had a bad pint of Brakspears. Probably because it's been twenty odd years since a pint of that pish has been pulled. None of the regulars drink that s***e. If real ale bores want a pint of 'Sprackleys old sheep worrier' or what ever it is they bloody drink, go over to the vic. Or the Adelaide now. Take their snotty attitides with them as well. STOP THE PONCIFICATION OF PUBS IN SHEPHERDS BUSH!

Basic sort of boozer, with questioning looks and pointed comments to the casual visitor. Only one real ale - a shocking pint of Brakspear Bitter - but it's not the sort of place a non-local would be welcome making a fuss, I suspect. Thankfully, I managed to lose some of the taste by scoffing a sandwich from a tray that had been put on the bar for some reason. Left quickly.

Came in about 10 on a friday night, sort of pub that you get a few looks when you walk in if you are not a regular, if you know what I mean. After that initial bit, it is a typical no-nonsense local, lots of different characters around, would recommend a visit if that is what you are after. Not my usual sort of boozer, but I liked the place - try it if you are down the Uxbridge road!

Adolf Hitler survived the bunker and serves behind the bar here. His mrs Ava Braun runs the coningham oposite. both great boozers

QPR crew apparently drink here so perhaps best avoided on match days.

Another great pub in Shepherds Bush during WW2. Managed at that time by Alfie who had for a long time been a milkman for Reece Price Adelaide Grove @ Dunraven --- with music provided for sing songs by blind Bill at the upright piano. During a trip to England about 10 years ago I was able to visit the British Queen, Alfie and Bill were long gone, the regulars in the saloon Bar each lunch time were a group of older guys who remembered the war years, good company.
The three best pubs in the Shepherds Bush area during the war were the Eagle Askew Road, the Western East Acton and the British Queen.

Another and probably the worst of the local Celtic supporters club pubs. Why spend time here if you could go to the Queen Adelaide down the road?

small, old man's boozer pub shows USA horse racing week nights. QPR & Celtic scaffs above bar.
