The British Queen, Shepherds Bush

A small, two-bar corner pub very popular on match days. They may as well have a No women sign on the door, such is the lack of the fairer sex drinking in the British Queen.
Located on the corner of Thorpebank Rd, where interestingly they filmed Monty Pythons Flying Circus BBC series.
Also back in the late 1950s when Rangers were then in the Third Division, the players were not well paid and often had to live as lodgers in houses close to the ground and Thorpebank Road seemed to have more than its fair share of Rangers players living in the road.

The Shepherd and Flock, Shepherds Bush

S&F is a much under-rated cosy, little one-room pub predominately serving the local the veteran drinkers. Very reasonably priced pints, in fact probably the cheapest in the area.
