My first visit to this notorious waste of a prime location and it wasn't quite as bad as I thought. That said, now that decent pubs such as the St. Aldate's Tavern are wont to show the football, the point of coming here has disappeared completely. No ale, surely service and no atmosphere.

Edgy in the extreme. When Alan Partridge said, "Scum, sub-human scum", he could have been describing the clientele here. Avoid at all costs.

I can't really think of a positive. Only 'beer' is a Bass Smooth. It's Kronenbourg all the way here.

Dire. Last time I was there was for England v Russia(?) and some guy got glassed, which seemed a bit OTT. Pretty ropey, but handy location if you're desperate / can't bear O'Neills up the road and need to see a game...

right beside the bus station you can get served here from early am. other than that its pretty grim.

I think this place is in need of an updated review. It's very clean, extremely well run with a high standard of service and a good range of (admittedly continental) 'beers'. It used to have an awful reputation when it was known as the Welsh Pony years ago but I use it frequently whilst waiting for a bus home and can recommend it.

Dreadful dive in a city full of wonderful pubs - why on god's earth would you want to come to a featureless bar overlooking a bus station? A big fat zero - nothing to commend it.

This place is great. Full of life at the weekends and sometimes during the week!
