The Crown Inn, Woodstock

Is now a split pub with a back room with sports/pool table - all nicely done, and a front bar with cracking food, no TV's, friendly staff and good beers. Currently Doom Bar and 2 others.

The Crown and Cushion, Blackwater

Popped in here after a meeting miles from home - so a random drive past, and needed some grub and a pint...

All excellent. 3 ales on incl those mentioned below. Fantastic burger, superb fish and chips, plentiful portions, friendly staff and a convivial busy atmosphere - even on a Tue lunchtime.

Just what the doctor ordered.

The White House, Oxford

Due to re-open soon (June 2009) as a pub / grill / carvery.

Looks promising, and at least it's not being turned into a restaurant / flats / a car park / boarded up hang out for rats and other low life.
