My first visit to this notorious waste of a prime location and it wasn't quite as bad as I thought. That said, now that decent pubs such as the St. Aldate's Tavern are wont to show the football, the point of coming here has disappeared completely. No ale, surely service and no atmosphere. Edgy in the extreme. When Alan Partridge said, "Scum, sub-human scum", he could have been describing the clientele here. Avoid at all costs. camraman123 - 9 Apr 2011 22:22 |
I can't really think of a positive. Only 'beer' is a Bass Smooth. It's Kronenbourg all the way here. plymouthpirate - 5 Dec 2009 12:39 |
Dire. Last time I was there was for England v Russia(?) and some guy got glassed, which seemed a bit OTT. Pretty ropey, but handy location if you're desperate / can't bear O'Neills up the road and need to see a game... toaster - 2 Oct 2008 21:21 |
