you should have seen it before the refurb! always good for a late drink and some good music although the bar staff can be a bit cr*p sometimes. seem to employ the girls on their looks rather than the ability to pur beer!

lovely lovely place. my friend worked here for a while and loved it. friendly staff and a very decent boozer. recommend it all my friends who are heading to edinburgh

everybody that goes to edinburgh must so experience this pub, i've spent many a morning having the most obscure conversation with the strangest of people. cannot recommend it enough plus there is a sandwich shop underneath to feed you when you have that last pint!

The Brunswick Lounge, Edinburgh
spent many a happy morning in this pub when i spent a summer working here while at uni although that was 5 yrs ago!

unhappy bar staff and crap service. not much going for it except the location if you want to drink in the grass market.

This was formely known as the Tall Man in day's when i was young! went back last christmas what a change! got a glass of wine in half pint glass and asked if i wanted ice (I was drinking red wine!) how things have gone down hill!!!

I had such a fantastic time here a couple of weeks ago. a pub that stays open after 11pm! thats's a novelty in itself plus the DJ played my ultimate drunken song the Violent Femmes Blister in the Sun. This place rocks big style!

Hey I worked here for a summer while at university in the summer of 99. Don't know what it was like then but at the time it was great craic! haven't been back since 2000 when i went back for a day. Eileen rocked, don't know if she's still there....hi if you are! from francie your adopted summer daughter!

Whelans, Surrey Quays
Just by the tube station at Surrey Quays. Recently been refurbed and opened under new management. Worth a visit to see the difference that has been made.
