This was once a really special late night drinking hole , full of interesting people and would have a bit of acoustic sing-song music on for the late night drinkers .

Since its refurb , you get a door charge , dull wannabe rock bands ,neandrathal bouncers and exorbitant prices . what a shame .

Late-night opening, average beer, a band that was more white noise than music. I really don't care about toilets (Who on Earth does? I'd rather talk about the beer).

A pretty average town bar, but OK as far as it goes.

Went at the weekend. One band of dodgy middle-aged rockers (whisky in the jar and highway to hell-woo!), followed by a great, great ska band that got the whole place going. Brilliant atmosphere, a friendly crowd of all ages, bar staff attentive. Only down side was the toilets, although these were slightly better that the average venue. Corking night all round.

you should have seen it before the refurb! always good for a late drink and some good music although the bar staff can be a bit cr*p sometimes. seem to employ the girls on their looks rather than the ability to pur beer!

A nice place to go for live, unsigned local acts and one man bands. Good location in the heart of the old town and open late. Never too busy to move but can get a bit claustrophobic what with the low ceilings and students
