Excellent Scottish pub. One of the few pubs where the selection of whiskies was mind blowing and I am speak as a beer drnker. Fair choice of beers. Service was good and the barmaid (newly trained) knew her stuff. Very nice atmosphere which was made better on our third visit when some musicians came in and played. Had food in the restaurant upstairs (see review on Trip Advisor).

Really good old fashioned boozer. Great choice of whiskeys. Food upstairs is amazing inc traditional Scottish fayre done well. Barmaid said she was new but she clearly had been trained as she knew her measures and how to pull a pint. If she didn't know, she asked, even if it meant phoning upstairs. Small selection of Scottish ales with another set of keg.

Had half an hour for the my train from Waverley so came in here early afternoon.

Seemed much busier upstairs in the restaurant but there was a few people in the bar.

Small 1 bar pub with the bar at the far end as you enter.

3 ales on draught, all scottish which was a common and good thing.

Not much atmosphere but if you want a quick pint this pub does the trick

Second time in here - first was a couple of year ago and it had live acoustic music on a Saturday night and the ale was great. Two years later, on a Friday there was no music and the ale was so, so. Good selection of Malts.
