| Stayed here last Saturday, Had a very good meal, well cooked and presented. Nice place to spend an evening, but it was a shame it was so empty for a Saturday night. Still, I guess we are in the run up to christmas and people are wary about spending their money. fetchman - 15 Nov 2010 14:37 |

| Had a very convivial evening staying here. Did not sample much of the food but the beer was excellent, as was the drinking atmosphere. Whiskies also a speciality. There was a genuine welcome at the bar and the accomodation was adequate. You'll need a Tom Tom to find the place! RG17 9QR The pub has done well to bolster its existence as such by running dining fcilities whilst still preserving enough of it for a proper old fashioned supping session. Popular with locals. How nice to find a pub these days where you can have a beer or two without feeling like a nuisance appendage to a restaurant/gastro pub! Definitely one to be re/visited for the serious beer drinker.
