Called in on a lunchtime. Was quiet but beer was good and service very good. Will be coming back.

I handpump with a Londun Pride clip turned around on Wednesday when we visited. the lady serving aid that it was normally on but she was only covering the pub for a week. Food looked reasonable but wasn't sampled.

At last someone has taken this pub over and has plans to improve it. Decor is pretty awful, but the food is good and yes, there is now wine by the glass and bottle (instead of a box). Food prices are fairly reasonable too. Be good when it has had a makeover. Friendly landlord and landlady. Open all day Sat and Sun and now there is some decent real ale too, provided by West Berks Brewery.

A locals pub. Needs FOOD for Gawds sake and how about wine by the glass. What year are we living in! Please try harder and some West Berks ales wouldn't go amiss either.
