Visited for the first time Sunday 29th May having previously walked past the garden and wondered what it was like. We wanted a small snack and knew from memory that the near by Dundas Arms does not serve food on a Sunday.

A steady stream of customers around early lunch time, good service, Ramsbury ale and a pizza were on offer. The roast dinners we saw looked good too.

Landlord (we believe) made the effort to enquire on how we found the food - not all do!

I ventrued into this pub after being on a canal boat and morring up in Kintbury for the night. There are 3 pubs in Kintbury, and by far this was the nicest of the three. It has a huge garden, not much of a view, but its huge, inside its maybe a bit drab and could do with a freshen up, but it makes it feel like a real pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the 2 pub dogs (labradors) were so friendly, even more so when eating crisps. Beer was great, not too expensive, we meant to eat there but never made it back.
Certainly a pub I would return to again and recommend.
