The Village Inn, Moseley

The Village has really improved in recent years, to the point where it's probably the only place in Moseley where you can expect good beer at decent prices without it being a)cliquey, b)full of cocaine fuelled chavs, c)overpriced, d)LOUD LOUD LOUD tasteless music (I sometimes do want to smash the jukebox off the wall though). It's not anything other than a normal pub, which is well managed and well patronised. However, Marston's want to convert it into flats, they argue that there are plenty of other pubs in Moseley, yes there are, but see above. We are in the process of setting up a 'Save The Village' facebook page, so if you care about preserving decent pubs then show us some support! With a little investment, this pub could be a winner, but I don't expect Marston's to be interested in anything other than making a fast buck.

The Dubliner, Digbeth

Burning this place down was the best thing that could have happened to it.

Dreadful, dreadful place catering for the pretentious people of Moseley who don't know any better. We're laughing at you.
