Good cider on but a bit pricey. Par for Moseley though. Good friendly bar staff but the menu needs looking at. roadrocket - 16 Dec 2014 08:39 |
Ok the Mrs liked it, the real ale was very nice and it was rammed, they must be doing something right. Toilets are total rip of the Old Contemptables though! Blastbeat - 7 Jan 2014 10:51 |
I had read about this pub being updated. I was in the area this lunch-time and decided to pop in for a pint and to have a look. To be honest, I thought I was walking into a mothers and toddlers club! The entire 'snug' area had been taken over by young mothers and several tots! Further down in what looked like a restaurant area were some other mothers with babes in arms! This is not for me I am afraid. There are still plenty of real pubs around. So I turned on my heels and left - quickly! Langley - 2 Dec 2013 22:41 |
A pot of money has been spent on this place and quite impressive it looks too. Same open plan but updated (and did they need updating!) toilets, glass frontage to get in, large decked area, comfy chairs. Impressive. I can see a lot of people are going to love this place, it`s a pose innit! For a moody `un like me though it doesn`t hit the spot. Too many wannabees comparing designer sweaters, paying top dollar for `quality` foreign beers and well expensive wines..38 quid a chuck anyone? - Yeah loads! Nope I just couldn`t be comfy in this place but then Moseley overall seems to be heading that way...now if they`d just open a Waitrose..... Blastbeat - 29 Nov 2013 12:26 |
was a good pub. now has all the dros. Beware read the veer small parking signs, no ticket on the windscreen just a £60.00 bill in the post. I found it a bit dodgy, any change of ownership would be good. blenheim - 27 May 2013 20:11 |
