The Portobello Gold, Portobello Road

An updated review..
This pub still seems to be going strong since my 1st visit a few years back. Its got a more traditional feel to it than most of the gastro ones along here
Meantime beer on tap which was a definite plus.
Theres a more prominent restaurant section at the back than what I remember, with some intricate sitting arrangements, inc a ladder to get to a seating area! Don't know what the menu was entirely, but saw oysters and calamari on offer.
Would highly recommend this place

The George Orwell, Islington

First review of 2013!
Never visited this pub in its previous guise, but went here before an event down the road.
Its a small but cosy space, not mentally packed on my visit.
A nice range of American Beers on tap. Nice snacks available, had some gorgeous warmed pita bread. Friendly staff.
Just be prepared to be paying the odds, as due to importing the beer, you are paying over a £5 a pint. London prices plus extra, although a very enjoyable visit!

The Tulse Hill Tavern, Tulse Hill

Its another cavernous pub with an old style feel to it.
Last time I was in here years ago it felt like a definate locals haunt, was quiet on a wintery early Dec Sat afternoon visit.
Nothing unlikeable, would pop in and return.
