Went back again over the bank holiday weekend and ate this time. Meal was fantastic and service was attentive, if a little chaotic - just one guy running the bar and serving the food. From what I overheard it seemed like all the other people eating there really enjoyed their food too. A couple did get turned down as they had not booked and the chef was strict about closing the kitchen at 9pm. Still seemed a nice place to have a drink even if not eating.

Back to being the Ferry again under new management. Seemed very pleasant when I went in of a Friday evening. Quite busy with a nice mix of people. Menu looked quite tasty too. No sign of the meatheads that used to frequent it during its brief time as the Cornerhouse.

The New Prince, Surbiton
I hadn't been in here since I a student and decided it wasn't really for me. 15 years later and I walked in and realised what a fantastic pub this place is. Had a great pint of Seafarer and the Jack Frost was highly recommended. A welcoming landlord and landlady having fun banter with the two friendly old fella's propping up the bar. Within minutes of walking in I wished it was my local and it is the sort of place you would want to take visitors from abroad to to experience what a proper British pub should be like. Good real home cooked food made by the landlady and well kept beers.
