The Beltane Cafe Bar, Buxton

Now very much open (Jan 2013).

A great pub with great owners. We adopted the pub pre football match at Buxton and was an excellent choice. Must have been a hundred or so of us in there and they kept the excellent local ale flowing continually.

They also produced a stack of bacon sarnies for us!

One of the best football ale sessions I have had in many a year. Thanks to the owners and see you next season

The Castle Inn, Criccieth

Its back open. Was in the first weekend in Sep 2011. A great pub next to the rail station with three local hand pull pumps and the usual selection of fizzy stuff.

The landlord and staff were great and made us feel very welcome as visitors to the town.

The food is top value also. We both had a very substantial main course and a few drinks and the bill was just over 20 quid.

Give it a go if you are in the town as it is a cracking little character pub..

The Three Tuns, Huntingdon

Have to say folks that i agree with the general gist of the comments on here...

Huntingdon appears to be on its arse and the town planners seem to have little if any idea on how to stimulate and regenerate a market town with potential..

Worked in Brampton in 1996 and am back there for the next couple of years and feel somewhat underwhelmed by the visage of Huntingdon High St. What went wrong?

Even the Falcon is finished. That pub has the potential to be the best in town but is boarded up and up for sale. Thank god i can escape north up the A14 and M6 on a Friday for a pint the right side of 2.50..
