Its back open. Was in the first weekend in Sep 2011. A great pub next to the rail station with three local hand pull pumps and the usual selection of fizzy stuff. The landlord and staff were great and made us feel very welcome as visitors to the town. The food is top value also. We both had a very substantial main course and a few drinks and the bill was just over 20 quid. Give it a go if you are in the town as it is a cracking little character pub.. sampig - 5 Sep 2011 18:56 |
that is an absolute disaster. what a shame. it was such a nice little boozer and the food and staff were fantastic. i hope they've haven't gone completely and perhaps just closed for the winter months. damn this recession. mph - 3 Feb 2009 20:20 |
Appears to have closed early January 2009, according to a sign on the door. blue_scrumpy - 21 Jan 2009 21:58 |
What a find. Ticks all my boxes for a great pub. The service we got was 10/10. They were so friendly. Great ale, pool table and jukebox tucked away in a smaller room at the back so it doesn't disturb the front two rooms where food is served. It has a really nice atmosphere and the locals were friendly bunch. The food is top notch. My missus(who is a very faddy eater. Her idea of a meal is a packet of cheese and onion crisps followed by a bag of dolly mixtures) fancied the idea of a kids meal followed by a pudding. She couldn't decide between three of the puddings so they brought bits of all three at no extra charge. Best pub in Cricceith by a mile. Thanks for the dolly mixtures Sam! mph - 9 Aug 2008 20:35 |
