Amazing what a bit of nice weather makes! 4 months ago I slated this place. Last night it had a real nice chilled sunset atmosphere sat out on the terraces by the river. Superb.

The Bell, Cannon Street

Good, traditional boozer. Fosters price is a little inflated - �2.90. Bar staff are curiously short (remember the Umpa Lumpas?), but then, the ceilings are kind of low. If you are lucky you might run in to Alan Fedarb who has been a regular since the early 1500's.

The Up'n'Under, Twickenham

Popped in for a couple of beers last night. Highly addictive (and costly!) quiz machine. Always seems to have enough punters to keep a lively enough atmosphere (even on a sunday).Not bad for an end of weekend chill out.
