Re-opened as "Coyotes". Seedy cowboy style bar with "gals" dancing on the bar. Encourage you to buy last drink 3 minutes before closing and then at 5 past are telling you to get out and offer you a plastic glass to take your remaining drink outside. 4 a pint. Probably as bad as it sounds but amusing nonetheless johnwarkstache - 9 Sep 2010 20:06 |
The "Up'n Under" is closed. It is no more! Alas, alack! :o( TeeJay - 9 Jul 2010 00:07 |
Went in last night, great night. The new landlords are trying to get a band on every night. It would great for the twickenham area to have a music venue. The music was a bit unstructured, not sure if thats good or bad. Will give it my support as the other pubs where empty. RoystonC - 1 Jul 2009 10:00 |
I feel really sorry for the staff in this pub because I wonder how long they`re going to have ajob for. I went in there early one Friday evening and asked for a glass of Cabernet. Not only did they not have Cabernet, they didn`t have any red wine at all - only rose and at the beginning of the weekend. The barman apologised but he was only trying to make up for the shortfall of the crap manager who was nowhere to be seen. This used to be a lively pub but on the plus side if you want a night out in Twickenham and it`s really busy with no spare seats in any of the pubs go to the Up and Under - you`ll have a good choice of somewhere to sit 267s - 15 Mar 2009 01:35 |
I think i may have to disagree with most of the below. have been in a few times recently and now and again in the past as live locally. had a great time, although there arn't ales being put on daily theres a great atmosphere with the place, lost of new bar staff who are great to be served by. every place needs its eye candy. (which is more to be said compared with the old lot) a great place to stop off on your way home from work or a night out with mates... all you complainers, give another go you'll be pleasently srprised! davie daviedd - 9 Feb 2008 13:49 |
