No proper ale in sight - and drinks overpriced enough to put me off popping in unless going for dinner. Food is pretty good though; enjoyed a pretty decent attempt at moule-frites on my last visit. MyKingdomForAnAle - 26 May 2011 10:56 |
Nice terrace, you don't need to go in through the hotel I found. Good for a stroll or a bike ride down by the river and then imbibe something sitting overlooking the Thames and watch the boats go by. I am allergic to speed. This is a good place to be. rainlight - 19 Apr 2009 09:08 |
Lovely on a summer's afternoon/evening on the terrace- drinking a beer and watching the rowers as the sun dips down over the Thames. The pub however is as soulless as they come. outoftown - 12 Sep 2008 22:31 |
The bar's actually called 'The Edge', and its a cool, chilled-out kind of place with muted lighting and spacey music literally overhanging the Thames. Lovely stuff. Greshon - 21 Mar 2008 11:39 |
Went to 'The Edge' last night but the only 'bitter' they served was John Smiths Smooth so I ordered a Guinness instead but was told they'd run out of it. No bottled bitter available either. I think this is the first pub I've ever been in with no choice of bitter - why? don't us bitter drinkers count? I don't drink lager or cider so we left and won't return. Shame really, as sitting outside by the river, enjoying a drink with my wife was very appealing! mr_toon - 10 Aug 2006 22:44 |
