Nice pub with wood interior. Friendly staff, good selection of ales (though not all available). Soft drinks nice and cold. Good selection of pub food, delivered quickly. Jukebox available with a selection of 100 CDs. Games available, both traditional (table football, skittles) and modern (one arm bandit type and video quiz). Ample parking and front and back gardens.

I didnt find the landlord here particularly friendly here either. Certainly not child friendly (in fact they have a child free zone). Doesnt accommodate larger parties without a reservation (tables in the child zone only had a maximum table size of six). The lardlord acted as if I was invisible when I was ordering food, despite the fact I was standing right in front of him. When I went to order drinks, he took an order from someone who just turned up, even though Id been waiting longer. I hate pubs that do that. Its just rude. The fish and chips were good, though they had more bones than I would have liked (especially the one that poked into my teeth). Although Im happy to go back to Dungeness, its unlikely Ill be coming back here. It may be the only pub in the area, but Id rather travel to better pubs.

I gave this pub a good review seven months ago. I understand that it's now under new management and sadly, it's not gone well. We ordered food that took more time than it should to arrive and the orders we all mixed up (one of us even had to re-order). Not good when we had two diabetics in our party.
Seems to me that there is little organisation there now. Sadly, this means I'm going to have to downgrade them by two points.
