The Plough and Harrow, Littleport
I agree with the previous comments but it appears that this pub has recently changed hands. I confess to being a rare visitor as I don't live in the area.
Having walked 2 miles with our dog we tried to open the gate to the beer garden but it was locked. We asked if we could bring our dog a few feet through the bar to get to the garden. We were refused, being told that for "insurance purposes" dogs were not allowed in the garden !! but we could sit out at the front of the pub in the car park on tarmac next to a busy road. The owner did however bring our dog a bowl of water.
Needless to say, at 2pm on a warm sunny September day the pub and garden were deserted except for two staff and one man at the bar. We had intended stopping for a few drinks and food but left after one grudging drink.
Could this attitude be why so many pubs are closing ? Avoid at all costs (And the beer was only GK IPA)

The Black Horse, Littleport
At the time of writing one of only two pubs in Littleport and the other one isn't worth a visit (miserable un-accomodating owner)
This is a thriving pub sitting on the banks of the River Great Ouse with a public bar and lounge/dining area. Food is very good and two real ales are available, neither being Greene King. Pleasant garden overlooking the river. The staff are pleasant and efficient
The customers are a mix of locals and boaters creating a pleasant atmosphere and dogs are welcome in the garden, unlike the other pub in Littleport.
