Excellent Food, Now a bit of a whacky warehouse, families and children. THE INEVITABLE "BUT" we waited over 1 hour for food we where asked three times did we need more drink by the waitresses but still no food. Although we had an apology from the landlady all she would say is there was a mistake by a waitress that got all the food orders mixed up, Sad to say my last visit here for food, as the landlady made no attempt to redress the problem hinting that the chef was more important than the customers. No free drink or a discount for the inconvenience. would have given an 7

The Griffin Inn, Shustoke

2nd visit here and other visits by friends support the general views reflected here, 10 real ales, old hooky, pedigree, old peculiar, lots of variety, sometimes a 10.2Vol beer here, blow your mind. nuff said a great drinkers pub worth of the CAMRA Accolade.

The Bartons Arms, Aston

Yes it is a victorian dream, fantastic interior, good range of ales beers and bottled beverages, can be pricy though, More interested in having the Thai restruant I think, seemed somehow cold and big to me, vey high ceilings, made it seem like a church or a victorian baths, we stopped going because in the week it is poorly frequented in the early evening and the owner/manager is very very chatty and intrusive, but a must stop for a crawl, something for everyone here, especialy the sloping bar floor makes you think you are allready drunk. I like this pub and will visit again.
