This pub is one of the best, if not the best, in london. Always a mild, always a cider, and always around 6 impeccably kept ales. A good mix of people, friendly, knowledgeable staff, and regular live jazz. A bit out of the way but well worth seeking out.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon in Summer. It was very busy - queue out of the door for service. Were serving landlord, broadside, and a JW Lees summer ale 'Scorcher'. Opted for the latter which was rather flavourless. The garden was very busy so had to stand next to a barrel where I was continually bumped into by toffee-nosed locals and surly staff carrying plates of unpleasant looking food. Quickly supped my pint and left. Will return in the winter when this place tends to pick up a bit. The very cheerful glass collecter gets a 10, the rest of the pub a 5.

The Three Horseshoes, Whetstone
Reopened on 23rd Feb after a major refurb. The place is at least twice as big as it used to be. No real ales on when I visited but there were 3 pumps so maybe once they get their act together they'll put some ale on. I counted 5 TV screens playing 80's and 90's music. This used to be a nice cosy local pub, is now a bit more trendy/crap. Is still possibly the best pub in Whetstone, due only to a lack of competition. A Shame.
