While it is true the CB is now not as good as it was 10 years ago, it is still a good place for a lunchtime meal, or to sit outside in the summer.
The clientele leans more towards hooray henry types than larger louts most of the time, so overheard conversations are often smirked at (my BMW has a bigger engine than your BMW type of stuff)
Overall the atmosphere is a bit 'pub by numbers' but it is trying to be all things to all men(and women/children and dogs) so it cant excel any one thing!

Its not a real pub anymore so dont expect it to be. But its bright, modern and nice place to spend time.
Full range of age groups, staff and customers are friendly enough.
Nice place to sit outside in the summer!
Food is good (even if it is a beefeater) and not too overpriced!

The Monksbrook, Chandlers Ford
real pub and makes a nice change to find one, but in being so suffers by being very smoky!
But good friendly service, some of the regulars not so friendly though.
Interesting local history i believe and a great takeaway over the road when its kicking out time!

Now much bigger than before and the bouncers do a top job of filling it with (what they are told are) the right people. They have no problem filling it and there is always a queue by 10PM.
Bit of a posers place, but actually quiet good, with 3 small bars and a tiny dance floor.
Good place to meet up or start out from!

Does what it says on the tin.
Cheap and cheerful way to dance or drink until bedtime!

quite a small bar, but plenty big enough.
The ideal starting point for your night out, as its not too busy or loud until later!
The gents may tend to out number the ladies, but the staff are great.
Quite chilled out music at the weekends!

A place to be seen and so is visited by some of liverpools beautiful people (oh and me!).
So it comes as no surprise that the staff are first rate... just dont expect a cheap night out.
Weeknights are dead so best time for a 'cosy' drink or a chat with mates, but weekends manic!

I cant believe this is the same place! A group of 7 of us visited Cheers on Saturday evening from about half 11 until closing. All of us agreed it was a fantastic night out! They had all the drinks we wanted, the music was great and everybody seemed friendly and just out to enjoy themselves. Only 1.50 to stash your jacket and the drinks were what Id expect to pay (and we were served quickly!) Special note to the door staff, truly first rate we had some issues that they quickly and professionally dealt with (no nobody was fighting!). Wasnt aware that the place was full of tourists or perverts, but maybe I wasnt looking hard enough!
Maybe we got lucky, as we found this to be better than we thought it would be!
