go to the parsons barn in shoeburyness near southend. thats where the old managers went, mark and tracy, and the have taken their excellent food atmosphere and happy smiling faces with them. this place now sucks full of idiots and chavs.nbeer is crap also along with the prices

The White Horse, Southend on Sea

excellent pub for the garden. the food is cheap but very haphazard. you get three good meals then a bad one. guess it depends whos working. the customers are typical southend bods!! some nice and friendly others loud brash and obnoxious. will visit again but during day not night.

The Angel Inn, Shoeburyness

nice looking pub. very clicky customers. strangers are frowned upon. meals nice but very expensive for what you get. staff are miserable and asking for their recomendation well forget it!! had an average pint of ipa was warm and the glass dirty. will try again when everyone learns to smile

The Parsons Barn, Shoeburyness

i was told this pub was rough dirty and full of drug taking. how wrong can you be. the new couple, mark and tracy, have made this pub the best pub in the whole of southend. the meals are large hot and cheap. the atmosphere is electric the customers a happy welcoming group. while talking to a few i found the 'barn' used to be a dive but the new couple have turned this around. anyone wanting a warm welcome good well cooked food and a fantastic pint of old speckled henvisit now. you will not be dissapointed
