There's certainly nothing wrong with "The Barn", the food is good and the beer well kept and surprisingly excellent value. The management and staff are enthusiastic with the Landlord hailing from Norwich ( he actually supports the Canaries, nobody's perfect eh!!). If you want to see what we were up too during the last international footie fest take a look at FaceBook, we are not the in-bred squinty eyed genetically inferior Essex folk that you think we are!! hagar1952 - 8 Aug 2010 15:02 |
i was told this pub was rough dirty and full of drug taking. how wrong can you be. the new couple, mark and tracy, have made this pub the best pub in the whole of southend. the meals are large hot and cheap. the atmosphere is electric the customers a happy welcoming group. while talking to a few i found the 'barn' used to be a dive but the new couple have turned this around. anyone wanting a warm welcome good well cooked food and a fantastic pint of old speckled henvisit now. you will not be dissapointed porsche_driver - 24 Oct 2009 20:32 |

Never have I been in a pub that could be so completely described by one word - "Average". Django - 11 Apr 2004 19:36 |
