Best place in wales I been in, for food, drink and to stay......(The rooms are kitted out with large four poster beds). In the pub the beer is nicely kept....Well worth a visit if you a pub mog like me.

This is a great pub which is a free house, always a roaring fire in the winter. Landlord beer good. Rarely to pubs to eat so cannot comment on food.

A very good pub on the same grade as the Black Horse hotel in Preston or the Queens Head in Stockport. The staff are friendly and the place does a good selection of ciders and also keeps the posh wine drinkers happy, cannot fault it.

Nice place, grab a curry for your dinner, the Robinsgons is good, dont know why its got such a low rating. Still bump it up a bit.

Historical buidling, spit and sawdust pub. Friendly people, reasonably priced beer.

Recently saw the pub on the program "Whines and Spirits" on the paranormal channel which was reporting on the pubs resident ghosts. On visiting the pub (bit before watching the program) found it a great place and cheap beer. I found most of the resident drinkers were very friendly, there was a rather psychedelic patron who had more impact than the ghosts....
Upstairs very creepy (if you like that sort of thing)

The Olde Smack Inn, Leigh On Sea
Good place with a nice selection of beers. Never had a bad time in the Olde Smack. If there is live music on its pretty good.

Nice wooden floors, good service and a view of the estuary good for a few swift halves

Witherspoons love it or hate it you know what you are getting. This place is interesting, and the acoustics in the bar are good. The beers good(with the guest beers) and reasonably priced. I think its good for weekenders/holiday makers. Not good for an all niter but pint and a platter is great and a lot less pricey than some of the towns restaurants.

Not a pub for a serious drinking session, also not open in the winter months and you have to use the pier loos. On the plus side the setting on the pier is great. Good for a cold glass of larger on a hot day or a evenings walk on the pier.

This is a great seaside bar with a good atmosphere. One night me and my went there and there was an Irish shin-dig. I always enjoy going there.

The Black Horse Hotel, Preston
The place is what I would call a proper pub. No food but good beer ( including the potent old tom) and a good mix different people everything from market traders to students. The pub is a listed building and the interior is great.

The Globe Hotel, Glossop
Quite enjoy going here food is good tastes like authentic Indian curry to me!! I like the cider as well I am not a beer drinker so cannot comment on the quality of the beer. The bar staff are friendly and the place looks cosy and its atmosphere on the whole is fairly easy going i like the fact there is not a big telly vision set like some places have and you can get on and have a chat. I like the Irish night on Monday night. All in all if you fancy a nice bit of veggie nosh and a relaxing dring this is the place to go!
